Import data

Import your plays and data from other tracking apps. For now only BoardGameStats (BG Stats) is supported, but more external sources may be supported in the future.

To use the import you need the import/export feature enabled on your account.

Mapping your player

During the import, the player found in the file is preselected to be merged with your player, so the imported plays are correctly attributed to you.

Important: the import operation is irreversible. It is, however, idempotent: you can run it multiple times without creating duplicate copies of the data.

Warning: data gets overwritten

The import overwrites the corresponding data: any edits you made to players, locations or plays may be overwritten by the import.

Not recommended after a merge: if you've already merged players or locations (see Merge Players & Locations), re-importing is strongly discouraged: the dummy players would be recreated, a new merge would be needed, and you risk creating inconsistent data.

Problems during the import?

If something goes wrong, you can send a report to the developers directly from the screen, to ask for assistance and help us diagnose the issue.
