Collection

You can manage your game collection in two ways: synced with BGG or local (manual). Your choice affects how much control you have over the data.

Collection synced with BGG

With sync everything happens automatically: the collection is imported from BoardGameGeek and kept aligned.

Cons: you can't edit the games' purchase/sale dates or add new ones from Geek Stats; you have to do it by editing the collection on the BGG website. The sync runs automatically after a few days, but you can force the update with the dedicated option or with a pull to refresh.

Note: BGG has a strong limitation — there are no purchase/sale dates, only a last update date covering many statuses (owned, prev-owned, wishlist, etc.). With this choice you therefore lose accuracy on the related statistics (see Collection Statistics).

Local collection (manual)

With manual creation you have full control over purchase/sale dates and other options: that's why it's the recommended solution.

You can still import your collection from BGG once and then keep maintaining it only on Geek Stats.
