Game value & prices
Geek Stats can estimate what your games are worth and help you track what you spend and earn on them. You'll find these numbers on a game's page (per game) and, aggregated, in your collection statistics.
Market value (Premium)
On a game's page, the market value shows the game's current price, fetched in real time from external sources such as BoardGamePrices and the BGG Marketplace.
- An availability indicator tells you whether copies are currently for sale or not for sale on the used market.
- The source is shown and tappable, together with the last update date.
- Prices appear in your currency, with real-time conversion at the current exchange rate.
Note: market prices come from third parties and are estimates โ treat them as a guide, not an exact appraisal.
Purchases & sales
For each game you can record the price you paid and the price you sold it for. From these, Geek Stats computes personal metrics:
- Cost per play and cost per hour of play;
- ROI (estimated return) once you've sold a game;
- Totals for money spent and earned, with multi-currency support.
Important: cost-per-play counts only the plays made while you actually owned the game (after its purchase and before its sale).
Collection value
At the collection level, the collection statistics aggregate these figures: total market value, total spent and earned, and how your collection's value has changed over time. See the Collection statistics article for the details.
